Full Job Description

Based primarily at the University Sports Arena, the role focuses on professional sports surface maintenance. You will supervise and support a small team on a day-to-day basis, while also taking an active role in delivering high-quality sports services. You will be responsible for maintaining areas including natural turf, artificial sports surfaces, amenity areas and woodland.
On occasion you may be required to support our main campus and provide cover during periods of annual leave., Our people are our most important asset. The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working on playing surfaces specific to winter sports and familiarity with risk assessments and health and safety procedures, along with excellent knowledge of Sports Turf Management.
For this role you must have an NVQ level 3 in Sports Turf Management, a PA1 Pesticides Certificate, and a range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning.
