Full Job Description
Join our friendly cafe team and help deliver a welcoming experience for every customer. Working closely with the Cafe's Manager and colleagues, you will support the smooth running of our catering service across the University estate. Your role will be varied and hands-on: setting up and clearing service areas, assisting with simple food preparation, serving food and drinks, operating tills, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness behind the scenes. One of the best perks? You will work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required, so most evenings and weekends are still free for family, friends, or personal time.,
- Provide excellent customer service with a friendly, professional approach.
- Assist with hospitality services for departmental events, including setup and clear down.
- Follow opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth service.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, process payments accurately, and maintain service flow.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate stock, and check deliveries against invoices.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and follow all Health Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
- Support basic food preparation and help train new or temporary staff.
