Full Job Description

We're looking for a commercially minded Financial Analyst to join our growing Healthcare Finance team. You'll play a key role in supporting Pharmacy and Healthcare Services, delivering insight that helps shape decisions and drive performance across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a fast-paced, evolving part of the business, working closely with both finance and operational teams. A typical day in this role includes: Partnering with Healthcare Services and Pharmacy teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making Producing and analysing weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities, and supporting forecasting and budgeting processes Supporting KPI tracking across healthcare, ensuring clear communication of performance to stakeholders Managing and reporting on pharmacy and nurse wages and hours, helping drive efficiency and investment decisions Supporting the healthcare bonus process, maintaining inputs and working with the rewards team Completing month-end processes for OPEX and regional and central costs including balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and systems to drive efficiency Providing ad-hoc analysis and support to the wider finance function and Healthcare leadership team Generate detailed customer focused initiatives, in line with the Finance strategy and supports with execution. Listens to the customer and implements new ideas and ways of working which are designed to improve service considering both Online and Offline. Ensure the team priorities actions which delight the customer/team member Tech & AI: Helping your team understand when to use AI, when to rely on human judgment, and how to combine both Tech & AI Rethinking how work gets done - Actively shifting work from repetitive tasks to higher-value activities as AI takes on routine work Tech & AI Role modelling behaviours to encourage confidence with AI. Actively developing your ability to use AI effectively and think critically about outputs Tech & AI Strengthen Human Touch - Keeping the human element strong: Balancing AI efficiency with human coaching, empathy, and team cohesion In this role, you will regularly interact with: Healthcare Leadership Team Regional Pharmacy and Operations teams Finance, Audit, IT and Commercial teams External stakeholders including suppliers and wholesalers

You enjoy turning data into meaningful insights that influence decisions You know you add value through strong analytical thinking and attention to detail You understand how financial information supports operational and commercial performance You are good at working with large data sets and simplifying complex information You can easily build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders You have developed the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines You are motivated by improving processes and finding more efficient ways of working You get satisfaction from supporting a fast-paced, evolving business You enjoy learning and are curious about the healthcare and pharmacy sector Superdrug is committed to developing future finance leaders, offering full support towards a professional qualification (CIMA or ACCA), with structured progression and pay increases linked to exam milestones What you'll need: Some experience working in a finance or analytical role A degree in finance, business or a related field would be valuable Strong working knowledge of Excel and experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI) Understanding of core financial processes such as reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations Experience working with large data sets and producing clear, accurate outputs The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take ownership An interest in developing knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector Customer Focus: Be the voice of customers and orchestrate the organisation to live the brand purpose and inspire a customer-first culture to build customer love in every touchpoint of our online and offline platform Establishes strong relationships at all levels Can manage tough/complex messages with all stakeholders Role model collaboration to the team to exceed goals
