Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Events and Administrative Officer to join Oxford Cancer Centre's support team. This role is central to the planning, coordination, and delivery of Oxford Cancer events, while also providing high-level administrative support across a range of projects, including a portfolio of pump-priming funding schemes. The postholder will help ensure smooth operations and improved efficiency across all activities., The postholder will be managed by the Operations Manager and will work closely with the Office Manager Project Assistant and the Finance Team.
The role requires a proactive and organised individual who can work independently with minimal supervision. The successful applicant will demonstrate a "can-do" attitude, along with the experience and judgement needed to manage a diverse workload and adapt effectively to shifting priorities., You will be educated to degree level or equivalent experience. You will have proven ability to plan, co-ordinate and deliver high profile successful events where attention to detail is paramount, alongside proven experience of managing administrative processes. You will also have experience of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. You will be organised, able to prioritise your own workload, manage multiple activities and work to deadlines, while remaining calm and effective under pressure and adapting to changing priorities. You will be able to work across departments to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including academics, clinicians and external partners. You will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling tasks, data, and documentation, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
