Full Job Description

To start on or around 23rd March 2026, Radnor House School Twickenham has an exciting opportunity for someone with experience, energy and commitment to join our forward-thinking and expanding school as a school Caretaker.

This is a full-time role, working each day from 13:00 - 21:00 throughout the whole year with an annual leave allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays, plus Christmas closure. You will be part of a team with highly motivated colleagues who constantly strive to provide the best and safest environment for education of our pupils.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the security, upkeep, and safe operation of Radnor House premises, furniture, and equipment. The caretaker will support the Premises Manager and deputise as required, contributing to a safe and welcoming school environment. A strong focus is placed on health and safety compliance and emergency preparedness; with computer literacy being important alongside abilities in general handy-person trades such as plumbing, carpentry and decorating etc.

The evening caretaker will also be responsible for supervision of the after-hours cleaning team.

On offer is a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, excellent professional development opportunities and the ability to work in a unique setting. Other benefits include access to health and wellbeing support, staff events, free school breakfasts and lunches, Pilates, cycle-to-work scheme, pension and life assurance. For occasions when contribution to the wider life of the school is required, time off in lieu will be given.
