Full Job Description
The post holder will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC) Wards by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The Housekeeper will contribute to infection prevention and control by ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained, managing ward supplies, and providing hospitality support. By supporting the clinical team with non-clinical duties, the post holder will help promote patient comfort, dignity, and a positive overall experience. General Information

- Estates and Maintenance Teams Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff in accordance with NHS infection prevention and control standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness of clinical areas, utility/store rooms, and staff areas, following agreed schedules and protocols.
- Support with ordering, receiving and safe storage of supplies such as linen, ward stock and cleaning materials.
- Ensure the units are well stocked with essential items (e.g., hand sanitiser, gloves, aprons, paper towels, bed linen etc).
- Work closely with the nursing and ward team to maintain high standards of patient comfort, dignity and confidentiality.
- Report any faults, hazards, maintenance issues or concerns promptly to the appropriate staff.
- Provide a friendly, helpful and professional service to patients and visitors, supporting the delivery of excellent patient care.
