Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Kent Country Parks as an Education Ranger on a permanent relief basis.

You will be responsible for delivering fun and engaging educational visits and events across various sites in Kent and supporting the wider Education Ranger team at parks including Shorne Woods, Trosley and Lullingstone.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering educational programmes across a range of Country Parks when needed.

Helping to develop new educational offers/events aligned with the national curriculum and current educational trends.

Collaborating with the Visitor Experience Officers and ranger team to plan and deliver an engaging annual events programme that attracts new audiences and retains those which we currently have.

Supporting the Education Ranger team in designing and delivering team-building days for corporate and community groups.

Delivering Forest School and outdoor learning sessions, including Level 1 and Level 3 Forest School training courses.

A Level 3 Forest School qualification is required.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
