Full Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, resilient, and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is committed to supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning, developing positive behaviours, and achieving their full potential.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who may require additional support with emotional, social, or behavioural needs. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, improving engagement, and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to students requiring behavioural support.

Build positive and trusting relationships with students, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.

Support students in managing behaviour and making positive choices both inside and outside the classroom.

Implement behaviour support strategies and intervention plans.

Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, SEN teams, and external agencies.

Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to support reviews.

Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive engagement in education.

Act as a positive role model and advocate for students., If you are passionate about supporting young people and creating positive outcomes, we would love to hear from you.

Experience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, mentoring, or support setting.

Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

The ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations.

A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.

An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

Experience supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential).
