Full Job Description
You will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support for pupils who require additional assistance with learning, communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation. Responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting children with ASD, SEMH, and complex learning needs
- Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and confidence
- Assisting with personalised learning activities
- Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone passionate about helping children thrive both academically and emotionally within a nurturing school environment., Has experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD and SEMH - Is patient, resilient, and adaptable
- Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Can remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
- Is passionate about supporting children's wellbeing and development
- Has experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, or support work (desirable) Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant references covering the last 2 years
- Previous experience working with children or young people
Competitive daily pay of £102 - £115 per day - Full-time, long-term ongoing role
