Job DescriptionMake a real difference Were looking for a Education Assessor to join our friendly and supportive team at Peterborough College on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with adult learners, feels confident in a digital learning environment, and wants to make an immediate, positive impact.The Education Assessor will play a key role in supporting learners on distance learning programmes, providing both academic and pastoral support, helping learners stay motivated and progress confidently through their courses.What youll be doingAs a Education Assessor, youll manage a caseload of learners and provide consistent, high-quality support throughout their learning journey. Your responsibilities will include:Assessing (and where qualified, moderating) distance learning courses within your curriculum specialismSupporting learners through telephone, email, video calls and online workshopsMonitoring learner progress, submissions and
engagement to ensure timely completionProviding clear, constructive feedback to support learner developmentMaintaining accurate learner records and completing marking within agreed timeframesWorking closely with the Distance Learning Lead and wider team to ensure best practiceCreating a friendly, inclusive and supportive learning experience for all learnersWho were looking forWere keen to hear from people who are passionate about education and learner success. Youll ideally have:An assessor qualificationLevel 2 (or equivalent) in English and MathsRecent experience in a similar assessing or teaching roleConfidence supporting adult learners in a digital or distance learning settingStrong organisation, communication and IT skillsA supportive, approachable and learner-focused attitudeExperience delivering training to adult learners or employers is desirable but not essential.Why join us?A clear, time-limited 6-month role with defined responsibilitiesThe opportunity to make a meaningful
