Drivers Mate

Are you the perfect co-pilot for a journey of delivering happiness? Do you enjoy being out on the road and making customers smile with every delivery?,

• Work as a part of two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis - an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drop per day in peak season
• Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required
• Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition
• Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner

• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting and pushing
• Can do attitude with a knack for problem solving
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
• Be prepared to commute to Dearne Valley (S73 0TB) for the required shift pattern

  Here at GXO, we're working together with B&Q and are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Store to Home team in Dearne Valley (S73 0TB).
You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday / Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time of 07:00. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week. Pay, benefits and more: As a Drivers Mate, you'll receive:
• An hourly rate of £12.71, that is an annual salary of £26,436.80
