Driver

We are looking for a proactive person to join the University's Infrastructure team, to provide driving duties for the Vice-Chancellor's Office. The key responsibilities in this role are:

• To carry out driving duties for the Vice-Chancellor of University of Staffordshire other Executive members and occasionally driving Vice-Chancellor's guests and high-profile visitors
• To provide driving duties outside of standard operating hours when required
• The ongoing management of designated Executive fleet vehicle, including roadworthiness, daily checks, regular servicing, , reporting and resolving any faults and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Record accurately all incidents and occurrences, using sound judgement and escalating via the University's relevant policies when required.
• To work as part of the wider Infrastructure Team to provide support to deliver a flexible and professional service.
  
  Good standard of education or equivalent level of experience
• Hold a full, clean UK driving license
• Knowledge and experience of a driving in a customer focused working environment, with the awareness and ability to provide a high-quality service at all times
• A high degree of professionalism and discretion
• Detailed knowledge of the highway code
• Knowledge of the local and surrounding areas
• Willingness to undertake training and a structured induction program for Continuing Professional Development
• Strong IT literacy skills
• Ability to drive a minibus is desirable
