digital video intern

The digital video intern will assist producers, editors and supervisors across the full gamut of video production, from research and pitching right through to post-production and all stages in between. We're looking for curious, versatile, enthusiastic, and proactive candidates with an interest in both news and trending content, are excited about short-form digital video for all platforms, with a mixture of technical and editorial skills. Your Role Accountabilities…

• Support producers and editors in the production of short-form digital content
+ This includes pitching, research, sourcing visuals and publishing content
• Demonstrate an ability to move at pace and across various projects at once
• Build skills in scripting and postproduction, using Adobe Premier
• On occasion, assist on field shoots, Stage 2: For eligible candidates, you will be invited to complete a written questionnaire in HireVue. The deadline for this is Sunday 23rd November.
• Stage 3 (not all roles): For select roles, we will require candidates to complete an additional HireVue assessment consisting of written and/or video responses to questions. The deadline for this will be Sunday 30th November.
• Final stage: Interviews will take place in January.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.


• Undergraduate or postgraduate journalism degree (not essential), vocational training and/or ability to illustrate a portfolio of work, including evidence of interest in visual storytelling (eg: blogs, podcasts, social accounts, YouTube Channel etc)
• Live on the internet and understand trends and social platforms
• Working in team environments, ideally to strict deadlines
• Ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Be proactive and ready to throw themselves in to any task
Nice-to-Haves…
• Some video editing experience would be beneficial (not essential)

• Salary: £28,000 p/a (pro rata)
• Contract Length: 6 months
