An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated registered nurse to join the Dermatology Service as a Band 7 Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) based at City Health Campus, Sheldon Block.

This is a key role within the skin cancer service, providing expert clinical care and acting as a Key Worker for patients across the cancer pathway. The post holder will manage a specialist caseload, delivering advanced clinical assessment, coordinating care, and supporting patients from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up.

The role also contributes to service development, education and quality improvement, ensuring care is delivered in line with national cancer standards and best practice., Manage a specialist caseload of patients with skin cancer, delivering advanced assessment and clinical decision-making. Act as a Key Worker, ensuring continuity, coordination and personalised care throughout the patient pathway. Provide expert advice on symptom management, treatment pathways and patient supportSupport timely progression through the cancer pathway, working closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT)Contribute to MDT preparation, coordination and follow-up of agreed care plansDeliver nurse-led clinics and support outpatient activity where appropriate. Provide education, support and advice to patients, carers and healthcare professionals. Contribute to staff development through teaching and clinical supportParticipate in audit, research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service deliverySupport the development and implementation of evidence-based practice within dermatology and cancer care. Provide leadership and support to junior staff, including supervision
where required. Contribute to service development and innovation to improve patient outcomes and experience
