Deputy Headteacher

We are currently looking for an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join our leadership team at Somers Heath Primary School. We are part of Catalyst Academies Trust, a small, local trust but the highest performing in the country. The school is also an active part of the Thurrock Primary Teaching School Alliance and the Teach Thurrock Initial Teacher Training Primary Partnership. We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious individual to develop as a senior leader and take the next step towards headship. Along with other members of the senior leadership team, the Deputy Headteacher will be centrally involved in the management of the school and will be responsible for raising standards, instilling high expectations for all and helping to establish a culture that is nurturing and rigorous. They will also play an important part in the trust team, working with Headteachers and Deputies from the other 4 schools to moderate, review and improve teaching and learning across The Trust. Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding teacher and a strategic leader with a resilient character and a strong personal drive.

• Have a proven experience of positively impacting on student progress, raising attainment and developing excellence

• Have experience in leading staff professional development in order to improve an aspect of teaching and learning
