We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced, completer finisher with good awareness of NHS services, governance and corporate leadership requirements. The appointed individual will be a key member of the NPC Executive Team coordinating the operations of our organisation on a day to day basis. Oversight of performance, compliance, delivery of strategic objectives and effective delivery of change management processes will be key requirements of the role.

This is an exciting time to join a dynamic, high quality, growing organisation. This role will initially be a 12 month secondment/12 month fixed term contract.

The Deputy Director will effectively deputise for the Managing Director where necessary and have a proven track record of delivering objectives with limited support, high levels of autonomy and take personal accountability for decisions made as an organisation.

  • The Deputy Director is accountable to the Managing Director for the provision of leadership, direction, governance and assurance as well as financial control for all services in the company, contributing to and ensuring the delivery of strategic and operational service objectives set by NPC Executive Group, NPC Board and our parent company Board.

  • Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC) is a pioneering partnership with local GPs and now manages several GP practices with around 50,000 registered patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside.

Appointees will have a nominated base site within NPC as we appreciate continuity and teamwork is vital to effective primary care. As a large multi-site organisation we benefit from offering cross site support and the opportunity to work flexibly across our practices. We also offer evening and weekend working which further enhances flexible working opportunities.

Please note that NPC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Make sure to read the 'applicant guidance notes' before submitting your application and make sure you know everything there is to know before applying to join our fantastic organisation.
