Full Job Description
Our Customer Service department is the key contact area for our customers and their energy needs. We are currently seeking a Customer Service Advisor to support with increased business demand. You will need to have a strong customer focus background and lead the way in delivering outstanding customer service to our growing portfolio of business-to-business customers. You will handle inquiries, issues, and service requests allowing for a timely resolution using influencing, assertive negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. You will need to a have passion for helping people, contributing meaningfully to Valda Energy's mission of delivering smart, reliable energy solutions to businesses across the UK. The day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Answer customer queries through various channels (emails, calls and chats) promptly to enhance the customer service experience
- Patiently listen to customers to address their concerns adhering to a first contact resolution approach
- Accurately record and logs interaction with customers and update account information
- Work with management & other departments to maintain best practices for effective communication with customers
- Maintain knowledge of updated company processes and policies to provide accurate guidance to customers
- Meet regularly with team leader to give feedback to help improve customer service, response time and the staff experience
- Willing to learn to apply company policy and process to customer solutions
- Support the company's 'one team' culture
Minimum of 1 year's prior experience in a customer-facing role - Communicates clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing, explaining information effectively while engaging positively with customers and colleagues
- Takes a proactive and resourceful approach to identify issues and deliver practical solutions that enhance customer satisfaction
- Pays close attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in handling information and processes to maintain high-quality service
- Prioritises customers' needs in every interaction, consistently delivering a supportive, efficient, and positive experience
- Demonstrates resilience by staying calm and focused under pressure, confidently navigates multiple systems, and adapts quickly to changing priorities to maintain excellent service levels
