The successful candidate will be required to teach all abilities across KS3 and KS4 to the highest standard and continue to ensure that Maths remains core to all we do in Academy life.

This role offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate to develop their role working in collaboration with the other Academies in Southampton. You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate our students and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. We are looking for a passionate teacher who shares our desire for the highest academic standards for young people.

Oasis Academy Lord's Hill is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and should have the ability to speak fluent English for this role.

Oasis Academy Lord's Hill is looking to recruit a dynamic and inspiring middle leader to lead the next phase of curriculum development for our talented Maths team as we deliver our vision:

A commitment to the Oasis ethos, allied to a relentless drive to improving outcomes for young people is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a wonderful school in a great community as part of a multi-academy trust, providing significant professional development opportunities.

    Benefits we offer:

  • The opportunity to undertake fully-funded National Professional Qualifications and access to Apprenticeship Levy for further professional and academic qualifications.

  • The opportunity to run a weekly extra-curricular club of your choosing, and to share your hidden talents with students!

  • Access to an iPad for all staff / students enabling the use of Formative and other online self-marking assessment resources.

  • The opportunity to further your career within the Trust and region. There are also a range of National Lead Practitioner roles within the Trust which you may also have the opportunity to apply for.

  • Access to Eye Care vouchers and a national Cycle to Work scheme.

  • Access to Health Shield Cash Plan which can include 24/7 access to a GP, assistance with the cost and access to dental treatment, eye-care, physiotherapy, and chiropody.
