As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for a range of activities critical to the delivery of VWFS UK's Risk Management strategy, including the production of management information that we use to inform business strategy and ensure the business is operating within risk appetite.

Crucially, you will need to take a pro-active approach to analysing trends in the portfolio, paying particular attention to shifts in the portfolios that may introduce longer-term risks. You will review all trends and exceptions identified in the regular suite of reports, investigate them and report appropriately.

This is what you will be doing:

  • You will be responsible for the production of detailed portfolio analysis, used to monitor the effectiveness of the credit risk strategy and support future strategy developments

  • Conduct the annual review and validation of all credit scorecards, including the PD models

  • Producing KPI and executive summary reporting, including performance reports for the underwriting team and reporting pack for the Credit and Lending Risk Committee

  • You will support the Senior Credit Risk Analyst and the General Manager with the development, testing and implementation of risk models and strategies, for example; to assess customer creditworthiness and affordability

  • Creating bespoke, ad hoc reporting and analysis using Tableau, Excel, Business Objects, SQL, and other tools

  • You will be involved in projects and initiatives as required, including business testing of new systems and products to support the Senior Credit Risk Analyst, the General Manager, and the Director of Risk

  • Supporting the wider Risk team to investigate and explain any movements in the retail portfolio and monthly IFRS9 credit risk provision

  • Producing data and information to support the internal and external audit processes

  • You will regularly update and refine existing procedures and processes, including verification of relevant LOHB
