Full Job Description
Our Managers take the lead on delivering key parts of our client services. As a Manager, you will use your commercial awareness and professional expertise, along with leveraging the skills and expertise of others, to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for our clients. You will have the opportunity to own or manage key elements of a client relationship and, with an appropriate level of support, will be expected to proactively identify innovative solutions for your clients and pursue new business development opportunities by utilising your networks and market knowledge. You will be willing to work and support junior team members and enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with others, as well as continuing to build your own technical expertise. Your desire to work as part of a team is critical to the role. As a Manager, you will have responsibility for:
- Assisting clients with understanding complex areas of law/HMRC's (and the new Fair Work Agency's ("FWA")) interpretation and positions.;
- NMW Advisory: Provide specialist advice on all aspects of NMW and NLW compliance, including complex pay structures, deductions, working time, and salary sacrifice arrangements.
- Risk Assessments & Health Checks: Conduct detailed health checks and risk reviews for clients, identifying potential areas of non-compliance and recommending practical solutions.
- HMRC Investigations: Support clients through HMRC NMW investigations, including preparing detailed submissions, collating evidence, attending meetings, and negotiating settlements.
- Policy & Process Development: Assist clients in developing and implementing robust compliance frameworks, policies, and internal controls.
- Assisting clients with identifying non-compliant Fair Pay matters that could impact the success of corporate transactions (e.g. supporting with due diligence).;
- Researching Fair Pay case law and precedents.;
- Legislative Monitoring: Keep abreast of changes in legislation, guidance, and relevant employment law, translating these into practical advice for clients.
- Commitment to building and maintaining Fair Pay technical knowledge by attending structured development programmes and supplement by additional independent reading/research.;
- Assisting clients with HMRC liaison and disputes.;
- Delivering quality advisory work to clients. For example, drafting correspondence to HMRC / FWA, participating on annual compliance projects, drafting advice to clients on various Fair Pay matters and considering the implications of proposed remuneration structures, policies, processes and working practices.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing proactive, tailored advice.
- To have an active involvement in client meetings and lead where appropriate.;

- Business Development: Support senior colleagues in identifying new business opportunities and contributing to proposals for NMW and fair pay services.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Develop and deliver internal and external training sessions and workshops on NMW and fair pay topics.
