Full Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a role in Community CYPS in Northumberland, with additional responsibility within EIP covering mainly the younger population.

This is a new post with scope for innovation and shaping to a prospective candidate. Successful appointees will enjoy the benefits of a positive collegiate culture and working with a successful MDT.

For further details / informal visits contact, The appointee will work within Northumberland CYPS, covering the West of the county. This role will primarily lead on mental health but would also have some scope to work within neurodevelopmental and even some LD work. The role involves supporting the team with formulating presentations of young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties, and overseeing their treatment. We have a rich and varied multidisciplinary team including specialty doctors and nurse prescribers who work closely together enabling young people to attain positive mental health outcomes.

The appointee would also work within EIP, joining the weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, as well as leading on cases, predominantly of people under the age of 18 presenting with psychosis. The role involves supporting an existing psychiatrist and the rest of the team in North Tyneside.
