Full Job Description
This role forms part of an integrated Alliance of Consultants in Public Health (CPH), providing public health capacity and expertise across the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System (ICS). Members of the Alliance include: Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB) (the employer), and Staffordshire County Council (SCC) and the University Hospital of North Midlands (UHNM) (the hosts). The Alliance will maximise public health capacity, with a formal accountability structure, governed through a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between partners. The post will be employed by Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent ICB and hosted by the respective partner organisation (as defined in the Service Agreement). As a Consultant in Public Health in Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent Public Health Consultant Alliance (the Alliance) you will have the chance to work across the local system to improve the lives
our local population. The post holder will provide public health leadership, advice, and action to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for the local population through work with communities and partners. Due to the Alliance approach, a high level of tact, diplomacy and public health leadership skill is required, including the ability work across different organisations, with local politicians and senior management. The successful candidate(s) will need to challenge and advocate for effective working and on specific issues to achieve public health outcomes and objectives. All posts will work across the ICS where projects/arrangements necessitate but will have line management and supervision arrangements via the host organisation.
