Full Job Description

The role of a Community Nursery Nurse working within the Children and Families Health Visiting service in East Dunbartonshire HSCP, supporting delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, assessing health needs, identifying vulnerability, and providing targeted interventions to improve family wellbeing. Band 2 roles are not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes. All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.,

  • Support families to improve health and wellbeing
  • Work as part of a Health Visiting team to deliver the Scottish Government's Healthy Child Programme
  • Assess health needs and identify vulnerability in pre-five-year-old children
  • Deliver targeted interventions to meet the needs of children, young people, and families

    SVQ 3 in Health Care or equivalent experience (or working towards)
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage tasks in a busy environment
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Full driving licence
  • Completion of NHS GGC and Children & Families induction, including training in the National Practice Model and EMIS system
  • Ongoing continuous professional development
