Full Job Description

We are looking for an individual (a Code Sensei as we call them) to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our Sensei are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas centre. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement.

Do you know coding? Do you have an interest in computing/coding/programming languages? Do you like working with children? This could be the role for you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Go through the game-based curriculum and guide young children through the curriculum

  • Create a positive and safe environment in which students can thrive

  • Work with children to determine their skill sets

  • Engage with children and families in the center.

  • Take responsibility of the Dojo.

  • Provide feedback to parents after working with a student who is on a tour

  • Follow opening/closing duties daily

  • Be able to lead on-site camps.

    A passion for coding and technology; Knowledge of at least one programming languages - ideally Javascript or C#;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft MakeCode Arcade or gaming platforms such as Unity will be highly beneficial

  • A keen interest in teaching and mentoring.

  • Must be fun to work with, works well with others; collaborates, GCSE or equivalent (required)

    Code Ninjas is the world's largest kids coding franchise. In our centre, kids ages 7-16 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way - by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and cannot wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white belt to black belt. Our core promise is - "Kids have fun, Parents see results". We believe in these words so much so that it is written on the walls in our centre.

    Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

  • Pay: From £9.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 4.5 - 30 per week
