Full Job Description

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse to develop professionally and expand their clinical leadership skills by becoming part of SACT Nursing Team., To lead and be directly involved with clinical and operational procedures with patients, carers and relatives.

To undertake assessments and direct care plans for patients, relatives and carers, with the team for those needing in-patient care, day-care and respite support.

To work closely with patients and their families.

To organise and lead case conferences and multi-agency meetings for patients, carers and families (particularly those with complex needs).

To co-ordinate training and learning opportunities with the senior sister, to ensure that the highest level of standards in practice are upheld and developed within the unit.

You must have a comprehensive understanding of cancer patient's needs; advanced communication skills for advising patients, relatives and other health professionals along with excellent SACT administration and complication management skills.

You must be flexible and able to work shifts across 7 days per week.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
