The Central Norfolk CFYP services are currently organised into a 0 to 14 CAMHs service and a 14 - 18 Youth Service although we are about to enter a period of transition moving to a 0 -18 CAMHS service and 18 - 25 Young adult (YAMHs) service , it is possible whilst this role will be initially based it youth it could move to either of these 2 services . We have enthusiastic and skilled staff who provide the support that is needed - and they are motivated to make a real difference to young people, their families and carers.

Additionally, we are making a number of positive changes to the service; seeing waiting-lists drop and taking opportunities to think innovatively about our practice.

We are confident, therefore, that the right candidate will have a real chance to make a positive impact to the lives of young people in Norfolk., The role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist is to provide specialist clinical interventions to our young people, their families and loved ones. It also involves delivery of leadership activities within the team.

If appointed, you will:

Deliver clinical interventions.

Work as a non-medical prescriber.

Offer support, supervision and informal training to your colleagues.

Contribute to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings.

Undertake other clinical tasks within the team.

You will have a nursing qualification, trained as a non-medical prescriber, and will have developed their skills through extensive experience in mental health.
