Full Job Description

We are looking for two Band 6 Clinical Leads to join our existing team providing a cervical screening and vaccination outreach offer delivered via our award winning Living Well buses until 31 March 2027. The role will be based at the Trust's vaccination hub in Cheshire West and the buses travel out each day to planned sessions in areas of lowest uptake within Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and South Cumbria. If you are a registered nurse who is experienced in providing cervical screening, delivering seasonal vaccines, routine immunisations and health checks and would like to be part of this amazing team supporting our communities then we would love to hear from you. There are 2 part time posts available of up to 22.5 hours per week, fixed term until 31/03/2027., Our Band 6 Clinical Leads each work in small teams on our 3 Living Well buses providing cervical screening in Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and South Cumbria. They also provide seasonal vaccines and a catch up offer for all UK routine immunisations and a range of physical health checks to targeted communities across Cheshire and Merseyside. You will provide clinical oversight to deliver mobile clinics, ensuring a safe, effective and accessible experience for people attending., All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.   • Educated to degree level with registered nursing qualification or equivalent
  • Registered Health Care Professional e.g. NMC or GMC for doctors
  • Completion of a cervical screening sample taker
  • Evidence of teaching and assessing
  • Desirable criteria
  • Teaching, mentoring and assessing qualification
  • Coaching skills
  • IV Therapy Passport, Knowledge of immunisation schedules in accordance with national recommendations
  • Cervical Screening knowledge & skills competency and evidence of current practice (cervical sample taker training and updates completed)
  • Proficiency in delivering high quality evidenced based care.
  • Knowledge of cold chain management and maintenance
  • To be able to demonstrate continuing professional development
  • Knowledge and use of computer to include microsoft word, internet access and email communication, Evidence of working autonomously and autonomous decision making
  • Experience of trauma informed approaches to cervical screening
  • Significant experience of working within a community healthcare setting or similar role.
  • Experience of mentoring /supporting junior staff
