Full Job Description

This is a SHO level clinical role in Trauma and Orthopaedics for 12 months. Successful candidates will be expected to work at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, RSCH (Brighton) although in some circumstances there may be a need to work at Princess Royal Hospital, PRH (Haywards Heath).

These full-time jobs are 48 hours per week. These jobs are designed to support doctors working towards an application to a Core Training programme in their chosen specialty area. We can support completion of competencies needed for CREST from sign off and there are ample opportunities for doctors to bolster their CVs with QI, audit, research, teaching, and managerial projects.

These posts are also great for those wishing to take some time out after F2 and want flexibility, stability, training, supervision, a study budget as well as GMC revalidation but do not yet want to commit to a training programme. They are also great for people who want to take some time out of a formal training programme.

All of our Clinical Fellows are allocated an Educational Supervisor, Clinical Supervisors and will be expected to complete an online portfolio matched to their level of training and undertake annual appraisal within the department or Trust.

At UHSussex, diversity is our strength, and we want you to feel included to help us always deliver Excellent Care Everywhere, as shown in our Outstanding for Caring CQC rating.
