This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Communications Department as a CCTV Operator. CCTV is crucial for community safety, helping to prevent, deter, and detect crime by recording evidence for court use, protecting both the public and officers. High-quality footage often leads to guilty pleas, highlighting the role's importance. CCTV Operators must stay vigilant against potential terrorist threats, coordinating with internal and external experts. They play a key role in ongoing situations, ensuring public and officer safety, and playing a key role in keeping our communities safe. What you'll do
- Patrol cameras to ensure public safety and search for wanted or missing persons.
- Monitor ANPR and respond to alerts, liaising with relevant parties.
- Provide high-quality CCTV footage and prepare accurate statements for court cases.
- Support large-scale events like football matches and demonstrations.
- Perform administrative duties using MS Office and CCTV systems.
- Use radios to coordinate during incidents and communicate clearly with all parties., We are proud members of the Business Disability Forum, working together to improve the lives of disabled employees. - SIA CCTV Licence (Desirable)
- Resilience and attention to detail to investigate and interrogate systems.
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
- Need to have good recall and ability to communicate what you see.
- Must be able to work unsupervised and available and flexible to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
- Professionally curious, initiative to investigate the less obvious.
