Catering Assistants

The contract types on offer are Fixed Term for 6 weeks to cover the school holidays from 20th July to the 30th August 2026: full time and part time positions (To be discussed at interview). Weekly hours vary depending on the contract.

You will be expected to hold Level 2 Food Safety certificate.

The individual needs to be organised with strong customer service skills to ensure that visitors to the park receive an excellent café experience.

You will report to the Catering Services Manager who is responsible for the four Country Park café sites.

The contracts on offer are:

Monday to Friday 9 - 5.30 x 2 position

Monday to Sunday 12 - 4 x 2 position

Monday to Friday 12 - 4 x 1 position

Monday to Friday 12 - 5.30 x 1 position, This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
