Full Job Description
We now have a vacancy for a part time Catering Assistant based at Salford Royal Hospital. Main purpose of the job is to provide the best possible service and experience for patients, visitors and staff using the Staff Retail areas. Typical duties will include simple preparation of food items, food service, cleaning, quality control, waste and cash handling.,
- Being dynamic serving customers in a fast paced Barista style coffee shop.
- Preparing the counter for service
- Accurately take food orders over the counter or on the telephone
- Cash Handling, taking card payments and keeping accurate accounts of money transactions.
- Simple Food preparation such as salads and sandwiches.
- Preparing orders for Paninis, pizza and other hot snacks.
- Keeping accurate records for the HACCP Food Safety System
- Cleaning and filling vending machines.
- Putting away deliveries
- Replenishing fridges and selves with stock, whilst making sure stock is rotated.
- Informing supervisor when stocks are low
- Delivering buffets and hospitality to areas away from the main Staff Restaurant.
- Clearing away dirty pots.
- General cleaning of service counter and restaurant areas.
- When required deliver food orders to the Wards.
- If required, cover absences with in the Catering Dept including Patients Kitchen
