Full Job Description

As a key member of the technical development team this role will support the development and maintenance of the Trusts data warehouse and reporting solutions. This will involve utilising all available technologies, (e.g. Microsoft PowerBI, web technologies, Data models, SQL Server and all Microsoft office products) to support seamless access to a wide range of reports and dashboards via the WUTH Information Portal.

To support the specification, design and development of automated processes which streamline and standardise data flows using available technologies to populate the data warehouse.

Responsible for the specification, design and development of data models to support the delivery of Microsoft PowerBI and bespoke web-based reporting

Responsible for developing complex SQL scripts to interpret and report against healthcare datasets. Ensuring information is processed in accordance with national NHS rules/guidelines/timescales and local policies and procedures.

· To support the design, maintenance and development of the trusts data warehouse(s) solutions proactively support the provision of analytical and Business Intelligence across the trust

· To proactively share knowledge with and support the delivery of training as required to other colleagues and end users within WUTH to improve overall skill levels

· To investigate any issues that might arise regarding the relationships/data flows between Cerner Millennium, the trusts data warehouse(s) and the Business Intelligence reporting solutions

· To develop efficient automated processes to ensure the data warehouse is populated in accordance with agreed timescales to support national returns and local reporting requirements

· Working with the Senior DW Developer to ensure robust monitoring and alert systems are in place to highlight any data loads issues including data quality and completeness

· To assist in the management, production and timely delivery of a diverse range of ad-hoc information requests
