Full Job Description
The Construction Consultancy Services (CCS) team provides client-side construction consultancy services across Durham County Council's capital programme. The team supports projects of varying size, value and complexity, working closely with internal services and external designers and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes. Our portfolio is diverse and includes school new builds and refurbishments, highways and public realm schemes, office fit-outs, housing and childrens homes alongside a continuous programme of maintenance, condition and repair works. The team plays a key role in improving the built environment and delivering benefits for communities across County Durham.,
- Undertaking condition surveys, inspections and building assessments
- Preparing specifications, schedules of works and cost estimates
- Managing and overseeing maintenance, refurbishment and construction projects
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations, health & safety and statutory requirements
- Providing technical advice to stakeholders and contractors
- Preparing reports, drawings and contract documentation
- Monitoring budgets, quality and contractor performance
- Supporting asset management and lifecycle planning
Grade 9 - Qualified to HNC level (level 4) or equivalent in a relevant subject or Chartered in a relevant discipline with experience in the industry. - Grade 10 - Qualified to HNC (level 4) or equivalent in a relevant subject or Chartered in a relevant discipline with significant professional experience in relevant role.
- Grade 11 - Qualified to HND (level 5) or equivalent in a relevant subject or Chartered in a relevant discipline with substantial professional experience in relevant role.
- Grade 12 - Qualified to Degree (level 6) or equivalent in a relevant subject or Chartered in a relevant discipline with expert professional experience in relevant role.
