We're on the lookout for a strategically focussed Branch Account Manager to help support and develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the branch network, supporting the branches to develop strategic plans for growth and sustainability. In this role you will be a vital strategic advisor, bridging the gap between national strategy and local impact. You will be responsible for understanding the unique needs of our branches to deliver tailored solutions and foster cross-functional collaboration. By negotiating key service agreements and providing data-driven oversight, you will drive mutual value across the network, ensuring every branch is empowered to meet the overarching strategic objectives and advance animal welfare. What a day might look like for you As one of five Branch Account Managers you will be on hand to provide the professional partnership and strategic support our branches need to ensure that, together, we can change the lives of animals for the better. Your day may include:

  • Building Partnerships & Advocacy You'll focus on fostering long-term, trust-based relationships with branches across your region. As their main point of contact, you ensure they feel supported and heard, acting as a branch advocate within the wider Society to make sure their perspectives shape our internal decisions.
  • Driving Standards & Consistency You'll lead on developing and negotiating service agreements, ensuring clarity and mutual accountability. By promoting agreed frameworks and best practices, you help branches balance local flexibility with the Society's strategic objectives, ensuring branches are sustainable, compliant, and fair.
  • Strategic Data Insights You will monitor and interpret data on branch performance and sustainability to identify risks and opportunities. By providing evidence-based reports, you help branches anticipate emerging trends and use data insights to guide tailored, future-focused solutions.
  • Accountability & Impact You'll take full ownership of your regional portfolio, balancing immediate branch needs with long-term strategic goals. From capturing lessons learned to maintaining accurate records for compliance, your work ensures transparency and drives continuous improvement across the entire branch network.

    Experienced senior relationship manager or account manager, able to demonstrate strategic engagement with stakeholders
  • Solid financial acumen with understanding of business development
  • A strong communicator, able to demonstrate responding to challenging situations
  • Able to demonstrate strong relationship management experience with a variety of audiences, to a collaborative and professional outcome
  • Experience of developing, delivering and/or influencing strategy
  • Experience of working with trustees and groups of volunteers
  • Demonstrate ability to negotiate with an empathic and sensitive approach
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage a complex account portfolio, prioritising and driving change
  • Experience of strategically supporting external organisations to deliver results and develop services in line with trends
  • Desirable:
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working with risk management and mitigations
  • Experience of key legislative and regulatory areas, such as charity commissions and health and safety legislation
