Full Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Box Office Team Leader to join the team at Exmouth Pavilion. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a busy box office at the heart of a vibrant events programme, where no two days are the same. If you're passionate about customer service, confident leading a team, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, live events environment, we'd love to hear from you. What you'll be doing You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the box office, ensuring everything runs smoothly while delivering an excellent customer experience. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the Box Office Team to deliver high standards of service
- Acting as the first point of escalation for customer and team queries
- Managing ticket sales, bookings, and box office systems
- Monitoring performance and supporting sales to maximise revenue
- Supporting event delivery, working closely with front-of-house teams
- Overseeing financial processes including cash handling and reconciliations You'll also step in to support the Programming & Events Coordinator when needed, helping manage bookings and ensuring continuity across the events programme.
- Experience in a customer-facing role (box office, events, leisure or hospitality)
- Strong leadership or supervisory experience
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Confidence using ticketing or booking systems
- A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure Experience in a theatre, events or entertainment setting would be a big advantage, but isn't essential. You'll also need (or be willing to gain):
- First Aid at Work
