Full Job Description
Located at Warhammer World in Nottingham and named in honour of legendary brew-master Josef Bugman, Bugman's Bar offers our visitors filling meals, coffee and cake, refreshing beers, and soft drinks.
As Bar Supervisor, you will support Bugman's bar and restaurant by delivering exceptional customer service to every customer, every time. With your commitment to upholding exceptional standards of quality, you will enjoy engaging with a wide variety of customers at pace, always understanding what is important to them, and keeping a smile on your face!
As well as serving food and drink, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the appropriate Health and Safety; Food Hygiene and Service standards; maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards; maintaining stock levels; and, of course, assisting with the smooth running of the bar. This can be a remarkably busy role, so we are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, where every moment counts and quick action is essential.
We are looking for someone who will be willing to take ownership of decisions and actions while inspiring and motivating a collaborative and friendly team.
You will assist the Bar Manager with managerial tasks such as monthly stocktaking, programming the EPOS tills, staff monthly performance reviews, staff training, and stock ordering.
In the absence of the manager, you will step in to carry out the manager's responsibilities. You will also be responsible for safe & secure handling of bar stock, till operation, and cash handling, including end-of-day banking.
Supervisory bar experience or management experience gained within a busy, customer-facing environment is required for this fast-paced role.
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours, covering various shifts, 5 days over 7, including weekends.
Flexibility around working times is required.
Working at Games Workshop
At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience.
The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.
In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let's not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
