The main duties will include typing correspondence from service users in a timely way to ensure referral to treatment and cancer pathway targets are met, sorting the incoming and outgoing Cellular Pathology reports., A full description of the role is available in the attachment: job description. The applicant will be expected to have a flexible approach to work, be well organised with the ability to prioritise, to work well under pressure and must be able to work effectively as a team member with a willingness to learn., Primarily working with the team of Cellular Pathology Consultants and Cellular Pathology Laboratory Team, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and typist experience. A sound knowledge of medical vocabulary would be an advantage, and essentially applicants will be proficient at both copy and audio-typing and have a working experience of digital dictation.,

  • GCSE English Language, Grade C (4) or above ( or equivalent)
  • Word processing skills - RSA II ( or equivalent) Typing skills - RSA II ( or equivalent)

  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment
  • Experience of using a variety of IT applications, including Microsoft Office
