Full Job Description
As a Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will provide expert clinical care while supporting the day to day running of the Oncology Outpatients unit. We are looking for an experienced oncology nurse who combines strong clinical skills with a genuine passion for patient care and team development., Delivering high quality, evidence-based oncology nursing care Administering SACT and supportive treatments safely and effectively Supporting patients through treatment by recognising and managing treatment related toxicities Undertaking pre-treatment assessments and utilising UKONS triage tools Acting as Nurse in Charge and deputising for the Unit Manager when required Supporting, mentoring and developing Band 5 Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and student nurses Working closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care Contributing to service development, governance, audit and quality improvement initiatives Helping to maintain a positive, supportive and learning focused team culture.
