  • Full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council (GDC)
  • Experience: Essential
  • Experience of working as a Dental Therapist
  • Experience of treating patients with additional care needs including learning disabilities, medically compromised and people with autism
  • Experience of independent working
  • Desirable:
  • Experience of working within primary care/Community Services
  • Holder of full driving license and use of a car is essential.

    Solihull Special Care Dental Service provides Special Care Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, across the borough of Solihull., To be based at our clinic in Smiths Wood in North Solihull, to also work on our mobile dental units and at our clinic in Grove Road, Solihull.     An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Dental Therapist to join our specialist team on a fixed term maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality special care dental treatment to adults and children with a range of additional needs. Working at Dental Clinic locations across the borough, on Mobile Dental Units in schools and providing domiciliary care., This post is a 9 month fixed term contract, part time (22.5 hours) and the required days of working are: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday although we can offer some flexibility.
