The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

To lead in the provision of a comprehensive, professional, effective secretarial and administrative service to the Team. To take a lead within the admin team for Data Quality The post holder is the first point of reference and as such must display a considerable degree of initiative, possess mature judgement and maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner when dealing with service users, their relatives, colleagues and visitors, Seward Lodge provides a high standard of care and treatment in a safe and therapeutic setting for service users in the most acute and vulnerable stage of their illness. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative person to work within this unit. The demands of this exceptional service mean that you need to be versatile and flexible with the ability to use initiative and work under direct and indirect supervision. You will take the lead in administering Care Program Approach meetings and to undertake general ward clerk duties whilst working closely with the Team Leader and the Consultants. Excellent IT skills are essential. An ability to communicate effectively with a range of professionals is paramount. The CQC have noted that we are an Outstanding Trust and the Forest House team supports their carers and family to ensure a holistic multi-disciplinary approach to care planning is achieved. Previous experience of working with this client group is desirable but not essential.,

  • RSA III/NVQ 3 or equivalent.
  • Trained [Pitman] and experienced at intermediate level in a range of software packages; Word, Excel PowerPoint
  • Advanced keyboard skills
  • Good working knowledge of email and internet
  • ECDL qualification or equivalent
  • Desirable criteria
  • Proficient knowledge of PARIS
  • Advanced secretarial skills such as audio and shorthand
  • Experience in a mental health environment or NHS, Evidence of the ability to organise and plan complex events,such as training sessions and the therapy groups
  • The ability to organise and prioritise own workload within any specified guidelines where guidance is notreadily available, but at setintervals
  • Proficient in diary management coordinating appointments to ensure best use of Manager's time
  • Experience of transcribing formal minutes of meetings.
  • Experience ofsupervising and training others,
  • Experience of adapting to change and managing work in a changing environment
