Accurate use of patient information. Ensure all reports are copied to the appropriate professions Take minutes of meetings, circulating to relevant groups Attend appropriate training, meetings and education sessions when required Record and input data onto databases and systems as appropriate.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individuals to undertake the role of a Band 3 Medical Secretary based in the Radiology Department, at Liverpool University Hospital Foundation Trust. As a member of the administration team, you will ensure a high quality and efficient administration service is provided to staff and service users. You will be required to have good written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, and E-Mail. Relevant training will be given for any IT systems you will be required to use in the Radiology department. The successful candidates must be able to undertake all administrative duties, be well organised and able to plan their workload and to work on their own initiative, both individually and part of a team.,

  • Educated to GCSE/O Level standard/equivalent
  • RSA/OCR Level II or equivalent
  • Word Processing/Audio typing Skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and secretarial procedures, Essential criteria
  • Excellent I.T. skills with knowledge and experience of all Microsoft office packages
  • Experience working in an NHS office environment, Excellent communication skills
  • Able to use own initiative and respond to new challenges
  • Self motivated and able to work with limited supervision
  • Manage/prioritise own workload
  • Ability to accurately maintain computerise and manual filing/documentation system
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to manage difficult/sensitive situations

The Royal Liverpool University Hospital is the largest hospital in the country to provide inpatients with 100% single en-suite bedrooms and mainly focuses on complex planned care and specialist services., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
