Attendance and Welfare Officer

We are looking for a dedicated Attendance & Welfare Officer to help improve attendance and support pupils and families to overcome barriers to education. This is a rewarding role where you will work closely with students, parents and external agencies to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.,

• Support pupils and families to improve attendance and reduce persistent absence
• Manage a caseload and deliver targeted interventions
• Undertake home visits and maintain accurate records
• Work with safeguarding teams and external agencies to support vulnerable pupils
• Monitor and analyse attendance data and contribute to whole-school strategies
  
  Experience working with young people or families in education or social care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of attendance, safeguarding and barriers to learning
• Ability to manage challenging situations and work independently
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting the whole school community
