Full Job Description
The post holder will work with the Surgery and Associated Services Care Group Management Team for Burns & Plastics and Sarcoma to manage the services to achieve the Trust's vision of being 'Outstanding in health outcomes and patient and staff experience. The post holder will be responsible for providing business support for the services within the specialty team. The role includes aspects of operational and performance management as well as service development to ensure that the service achieves its performance objectives.
- Lead day-to-day business management support for Burns & Plastics and Sarcoma services.
- Drive delivery of operational plans and performance targets, escalating risks and unblocking issues.
- Analyse demand, capacity and activity data to generate clear performance reports and decision-support insights.
- Monitor income and expenditure, supporting budget holders to deliver financial plans and efficiencies.
- Support SGM with development of robust business cases and support service redesign and cost improvement programmes.
- Embed governance and risk management, identifying and mitigating financial and operational risk.
- Build strong relationships and communicate effectively across clinical teams, corporate services and system partners.
- Line-manage and develop staff through recruitment, HR processes, appraisals and capability support.
