MUFG, one of the world's leading financial groups with a rich heritage spanning over 350 years, is seeking an Assistant Vice President Business Management to join their EMEA Operations team in London. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to be at the heart of operational excellence, supporting a global network and contributing to the smooth running of business management initiatives. You will work within a highly supportive environment that values professionalism, teamwork, and personal growth, while collaborating with stakeholders across international locations. MUFG is committed to fostering a culture of integrity, responsibility, and innovation, providing flexible working opportunities and access to extensive training resources. If you are passionate about process improvement, data analysis, and making a meaningful impact within a regulated financial services environment, this is your chance to thrive in a company renowned for its inclusive approach and commitment to employee development. What you'll do:
- Coordinate across EMEA Operations to ensure key policy and procedure documents such as Business Continuity plans, internal organisation charts, and policy documents are consistently updated and maintained.
- Establish and manage the Operations Balanced Scorecard (BSC), aligning KPIs with local, regional, and global targets while monitoring results and developing action plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop presentation materials articulating high-level initiatives for various audiences including Town Halls and Senior Executives, ensuring clear communication of strategic objectives.
- Lead projects representing EMEA Operations in wider programmes, acting as a dependable point of contact for cross-functional collaboration.
- Analyse current operational processes to identify areas for improvement, implementing enhancements that boost productivity and reduce costs.
- Support cost control management by tracking expenses, reporting accurately, and constructively challenging costs to optimise resource allocation.
- Enhance and roll out the Skills Matrix across Operations, ensuring staff capabilities are mapped effectively for ongoing development.
- Maintain and update Operations' Intranet pages so information remains accurate and accessible for all users.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to identify relevant performance and risk indicators (both quantitative and qualitative) for producing high-level management reports.
- Design, develop, and maintain effective PowerBI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights from complex data sets.
Demonstrated experience working within regulated environments or organisationally complex settings-ideally within financial services-ensuring compliance with relevant standards. - Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team with excellent interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- A proactive approach combined with motivation to learn new concepts quickly; readiness to engage fully in all activities required for successful delivery of responsibilities.
- Agility in adapting calmly under pressure within fast-paced environments; capacity to manage large workloads efficiently while prioritising tasks against tight deadlines.
- Strong sense of accountability paired with outstanding organisational skills; focus on delivering consistently high-quality output with meticulous attention to detail.
- Discretion when handling sensitive matters; ability to exercise sound judgement in maintaining confidentiality across dual entities (MUFG Bank & MUFG Securities EMEA plc).
- Experience in data analysis with particular expertise in PowerBI; adept at analysing complex datasets to extract trends and actionable insights.
- Excellent analytical thinking coupled with critical problem-solving skills; able to present data-driven insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Word for effective reporting and presentation creation.
- Adaptability and flexibility suited to evolving business needs-including minimum three days per week onsite-while aligning with MUFG's values: Integrity & Responsibility; Professionalism & Teamwork; Challenge Ourselves To Grow.
