Full Job Description
We are recruiting for an Assistant Medical Secretary to join the Secretarial Team for37.5 hours per weekwithin the Cardiology department, based at York Teaching Hospital. You will provide support to the Medical Secretaries and their Consultant Teams. Excellent administration/secretarial skills and audio-typing experience/qualifications are required, as well as a good understanding of customer relations. You will be required to deal with queries from patients, Consultants and GPs. Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY. Remote interviews will not be available. Previous applicants need not apply. You will be responsible for typing clinical and administrative letters, answering telephone enquiries and dealing with patient queries, as well as covering the Medical Secretaries during periods of absence., As part ofseekingto become more inclusive, we will consider requests for flexible working from the start of your employment. The successful candidates will be required to have good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise the demands of a busy office and manage their time and workload effectively.
