Full Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Operations Manager for the club complex and beresponsible for overseeing club operations and performing personnel management duties as anassistant manager. You will assist in planning, organizing, and directing the activities, ensuring theycomply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. As part of your duties as thesupervisor, you will analyze, appraise, and provide input to the financial aspects of the operation on aday-to-day basis to ensure that financial standards and goals are met. In addition, you will represent theclub complex with a variety of installation and functional area organizations., You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable USand UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, andyou may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties orattend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required tocomplete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned otherduties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of theincumbent. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. You are subject to workother than normal duty hours, which may change daily due to the requirements of managing a 7day-a-week operation, and may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. You will share in theresponsibility for a sound industrial safety and security program. You must be able to operate agovernment motor vehicle and obtain/possess a valid driver's license (Category B). The Local NationalDirect Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing, however positions covered bythis document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, andsafety mishap or accident testing. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on an as rosteredschedule (this will be working any 5 days out of 7) where start & end times may be modified due tomission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies. You will be requiredto observe US holidays in lieu of UK holidays.

You must have either a master's degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher graduate educationleading to a degree or a years Specialized experience in the field of Administration and Management., 1. Knowledge of commonly used policies, procedures, methods, and publicity techniques of cluboperations to evaluate strengths or weaknesses and develop/revise programs to meet legal andregulatory requirements and promote patronage.2. Knowledge of the requirements, techniques, procedures, and practices of generally accepted facilityand resource management principles, standards, and techniques.3. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, andprocedures.4. Knowledge of budgetary requirements, internal controls, and resale and inventory principles toanalyze and evaluate financial information.5. Knowledge of market surveys and marketing techniques to determine membership desires andsatisfaction with club activities.6. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of the club complex and mentor, motivate, andappraise the staff of the organization.
