Area Sales and Distribution Manager

We require a talented individual to head up our Direct Sales and Distribution Areas of our business, incorporating our pumping systems that are sold direct to OEMs. This exciting opportunity will be a varied role with areas of leadership, engineering design and commercial activities creating a challenging yet fulfilling role. Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Support IR/GD Transport locations with technical product support as required in conjunction with Sales Support Engineer
• Manage existing selected distributors in countries including South Africa, Denmark, Italy, Finland and Norway & travel to distributors as required
• Provide commercial and technical support to distributors in other territories, in conjunction with area sales representatives and Sales Support Engineer (East Europe, Middle East, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Others etc.)
• Provide sales support to SM Components (GD) and WG Tankers (GHH) in the UK and Ireland
• Provide forecast figures to the business as required
• Compile and manage C281 AOP and support B281 AOP
• Manage the Bradford based Sales Support Engineer
• Product manage Optiload, Optiflow and Yeast pump metering systems
• Visit customers from the milk and water pumping industry as required
• Manage OEM's such as Crossland and Sayers to include Waste / Vacuum
• Attend exhibitions as required (UK and overseas)
• Attend DTAS meetings (milk transport industry)
• Develop relationships and meetings with new and existing customers to aid future business and success
• Lead to manage distribution agreements and internal TPDD process
• Support Bradford operations team as and when required
• Provide support and information to Marketing and product Management where required.
• Set and negotiate distribution price lists - annual.
• Forecast Inter-company sales revenue for C281.

  Engineering experience essential
• NVQ/Diploma or University degree in technical subject advantages
• Understanding of engineering practises is advantageous
• Knowledge of commercial vehicles
• Experience in a commercial and customer facing role is essential, Computer literate with Office software (Excel & PPT in particular). CAD experience would be useful but not essential.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Willing to learn, grow and integrate into the wider sales team.
