We are seeking a proactive person(s) with exceptional interpersonal skills to support health and social care apprentices, the academic team, and employers. As an Apprenticeship Skills Coach you will be responsible for meeting with apprentices and their employers to review their progress and will have a case load of 40-50 apprentices to manage.

The Apprenticeship Skills Coach role will be the initial point of contact for apprentices, providing information, advice and guidance, monitoring progress against apprenticeship standards and maintaining strong relationships in this rapidly developing field.

You will conduct regular reviews with apprentices and their line managers and use a coaching approach to help learners develop and apply Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours in the workplace.

The ideal candidate will have excellent administration and digital skills, with a dedicated and flexible approach to working, to ensure high levels of achievement for our learners. A knowledge and understanding of programmes also delivered within a Professional & Statutory Body (e.g NMC, HCPC) framework would be highly desirable.

The role will sit within the Faculty of Education Health & Human Sciences, which is one of four faculties at the University of Greenwich, split across three campuses - the Avery Hill Campus in Eltham, Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent, and the Greenwich Campus in Greenwich, London. The role will be based in the Faculty and work collaboratively with colleagues within Employability and Apprenticeships Directorate under a matrix structure.

We offer a friendly and supportive working environment with plenty of opportunities to develop within the role and become involved in the wider university community.
