Full Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Agency FCA at CAFCASS in Peterborough, where your expertise in qualified social work will make a significant impact on the lives of children and families. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments, providing support to children in care, and ensuring their voices are heard in the decision-making processes. You will work collaboratively with local authorities, schools, and other professionals to create tailored care plans that promote the welfare and best interests of children. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and circumstances.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to families and professionals involved in the care process.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best outcomes for children.
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). - Registered with Social Work England (SWE) as a qualified social worker.
- Proven experience in child protection and family support services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
