Full Job Description
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Haematology Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our Cancer Services Directorate. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) based primarily at our Sutton site, with travel required to all Trust sites including Chelsea. Please note this role is a band 7 / 8a depending on experience.
This post offers a unique opportunity to develop and deliver advanced nursing practice within haemato-oncology across inpatient, outpatient, and day care settings for both NHS and private patients. Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical care, act as a role model and leader, and play a key role in shaping the future of haemato-oncology services within the Trust., This post is aimed at developing new ways of working for senior cancer nurses as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in haemato-oncology, providing a 7-day service. The ANP will integrate into the existing haemato-oncology team to carry out their extended roles which will include routine management of the haemato- oncology patient, including practical procedures and the admission of haemato- oncology patients.
This post will cover both NHS and private patients in the inpatient, outpatient and day care settings. They will act as a highly specialised role model and leader for all members of staff and play a major role in the continuous development of the services within the Trust and as a potential member of a range of trust quality/process improvement project groups.
